htEdit is intended for creating and maintaining .htaccess files to password protect Website directories. It creates .htaccess and .htpasswd files and keep track database of created files to easy editing (change password, add or delete users).
It also have easy to use pop-up boxes to select directories and files to protect. |

This is a pretty neat password protection script as it disallows "Password Sharing" by logging IP addresses. If the script notices that a lot of different IP ranges are using the same Password, the administrator is notified via e-mail. |

This script is used to manage multiple usernames/passwords for .htaccess/.htpasswd directory protection. This works with the apache web server (tested on Unix systems) and can be used to handle multiple password protected directories. In addition to storing the username and encrypted password, you may add additional info for users such as name, e-mail and comments to help you manage who has access to your "members only" web site. Users can be notified via e-mail when you add them to the user list and when you modify their password. Also generates what your .htaccess file should look like for the directory you're about to protect. |

Averist is a module that adds an authentication layer to any web based application. With support for initial authentication through a CGI form, Averist can use CGI (hidden fields) or cookies for reauthentication (after configurable time out). It can also use a local SQL-based database for storing the session keys for increased security.
